Slit lamp
A slit lamp provides a magnified view of the inner and outer structures of the eye, therefore it aids in detecting ocular diseases such as cataract, retinopathy, corneal disorders and many more. People who wear contact lenses benefit from this machine as we get a closer look at the corner where the contact lens sits and also people who have experienced trauma into the eye, we can zoom in perfectly into the affected area.
tonometer
A Tonometer is a device used to measure the IntraOcular Pressure inside the eye. The pressure readings help us to screen and diagnose glaucoma, which is a very dangerous pathology of the eye that can lead to irreversible blindness. Early detection of the condition is key.
Diagnostic set
The diagnostic set along with the colour vision plates assist in determining the prescription of a patients glasses and any colour deficiencies respectively. The Retinoscope will help with objective testing and determine the prescription for spectacles and the Ophthalmoscope is used to get a view of the inner structures of the eye, thus easier to diagnose Cataract, Macular Degeneration, Retinal retinopathy etc.
